Smoke-Free Policy

Mounts Bay Sailing Club recognises the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle to its members particularly as a large number of our membership is made up of junior and intermediate sailors.

The Club is dedicated to promoting all indoor areas as strictly smoke free zones for both private functions and club events. The Club has recently introduced outdoor smoke free zones and a non-smoking policy for all toilets and bathrooms. MBSC has no cigarette vending machines on the premises and does not sell cigarettes anywhere on-site.

Staff and Flag Officers at MBSC do not smoke whilst on the premises and with their healthy lifestyles, they are positive role models to our junior sailors.

This policy is actively promoted in club newsletters and notice boards.
