Our 2014/2015 Season Opening Day is this Saturday. The schedule of proceedings is:
• 1100 – Galley open
• 1130 – Junior short races
• 1200 – Sharpie Bar open
• 1315 – Seniors competitor briefing

• 1430 – Opening Day Sail Past
• 1445 – Opening Day races commence
• 1730 – Presentations

This year, in an effort to give all members an opportunity to be present at the opening ceremony, the traditional sail past is scheduled for 1430hrs, approximately 30 minutes after the gun is fired signalling the opening of the season.
All pen and mooring occupiers, together with competing yachts are encouraged to participate in the sail past at 1430hrs. The Commodore will salute vessels from Lady Mounts Bay that will be anchored in the vicinity of the Club finish mark.
Boats should assemble NW of the Club jetty and proceed at a “gentle” pace between Lady Mounts Bay and the finish mark lead by the Club safety vessels, Molly, Joe Creeper and Trooper.
If you are able to help out this Saturday on the water in either a safety/mark boat or on the start boat, please call Andy on 9386 5839.
